J'étais en train de lire RESTful Email over HTTP et ça m'a rappelé un vieux vaporware, je me demande s'il ne serait pas intéressant de regrouper toutes les notifications en un unique endroit. Il suffirait pour cela d'accepter plusieurs choses en entrées :

* emails (pull/push)

* flux (pull)

* jabber (push)

* webhooks (push)

* irc (bonus !)

We wanted to show what relationships are possible to mine from linked data (RDF) and how this data can be presented in a human readable way. Along the way we created several IRC bots which talk to some of the many services which have open APIs.

Parti Pirate Suisse

Bienvenue sur le site du Parti Pirate Suisse. Début 2006 fut fondé le premier parti pirate en Suède, par la suite le mouvement s’est propagé dans toute l'Europe. C'est avec plaisir que nous offrons une plateforme pour les personnes intéressées en Suisse. Le parti n'est encore qu'à ses débuts, et le site n'a pas encore beaucoup de contenu francophone. Pour l'instant, L'organisation du parti se passe surtout sur le forum et les canaux IRC sur freenode #piraten-schweiz et #pirates-suisse. Vous pouvez vous y connecter avec votre client standard ou utiliser un un client web. Jetez donc un coup d'œil au forum, il y a une section francophone.

Chris Shiflett: Save the Internet with rev="canonical"

There's a new proposal ("URL shortening that doesn't hurt the Internet") floating around for using rev="canonical" to help put a stop to the URL-shortening madness. It sounds like a pretty good idea, and based on some discussions on IRC this morning, I think a more thorough explanation would be helpful. I'm going to try.

BitlBee - Home

BitlBee brings IM (instant messaging) to IRC clients. It's a great solution for people who have an IRC client running all the time and don't want to run an additional MSN/AIM/whatever client. If you don't want to (or can't) install BitlBee on your own machine you can also use one of the public servers. If you use Windows, this is the preferred option, as the Win32 port isn't very reliable yet.

There were a couple other new features added this week, which I’m also kind of mystified by. I did ask on IRC, but I don’t think Ian’s response was very direct. It seems the only requirement to qualify for addition after the freeze is that Ian must be able to frame the new a feature as a response to at least one email sent over a two year period.

Avec une liste prédéfinie de features, cela ne se passerait pas. Une autre solution est de couper tout ce qui est approximativement implémenté et le pousser dans une version future.

PyBorg est un bot parlant écrit en python. Il s'agit d'un programme capable de se connecter sur IRC, qui enregistre les phrases et les structures qu'il peut lire, et se sert de ces données pour générer des réponses quand on lui parle. Il utilise le principe des chaînes de Markov pour générer les réponses. Malheureusement, le programme a aujourd'hui disparu du net ( on peut encore le trouver sur le wiki404[1]. J'ai repris ledéveloppement, et propose aujourd'hui une nouvelle version "enrichie".
