HackBar :: Modules pour Firefox

by decembre
This toolbar will help you in testing sql injections, XSS holes and site security. It is NOT a tool for executing standard exploits and it will NOT teach you how to hack a site. Its main purpose is to help a developer do security audits on his code. If you know what your doing, this toolbar will help you do it faster. If you want to learn to find security holes, you can also use this toolbar, but you will probably also need a book, and a lot of google :)

html5.js > html5-now - Dean Edwards

A JavaScript library to support HTML5 in non-compliant browsers

pas encore sorti

Add. Bruce Lawson : Dean was showing his new JavaScript library that plugs the holes in browsers’ HTML 5 implementations. If a browser does do something natively, ther library does nothing; otherwise it fills that gap—so now you can have Web Forms with all browsers, canvas in IE. As a bonus, it’s all keyboard accessible, everything looks like native UI controls and it even inherits the native Windows themes. I’m looking forward to helping beta test this baby.

The One Fiber Optic Cable No One on the Dig for Tysons Rail Wants to Hit - washingtonpost.com

by night.kame

And they have snapped, accidentally, dozens of those carriers' lines, because even not-so-secret commercial lines sometimes don't show up on utility maps. Goguen, the utility manager, estimates that the rail project has already hit three dozen lines, sometimes doing no damage and other times grinding work to a halt or cutting power to retailers along Route 7. Even after extensively researching land records and maps and digging more than 600 test holes to determine utility locations, it's hard to avoid accidents on a project of such complexity and in such a busy place, he said.

Voilà ce qui se passe quand on fait de l'agile : ça sprinte, ça sprinte, et 3 ans après, il faut un démineur :-)

BOX: Les Petites Morts »

by sbrothier
Many, many years ago, the 5 of us lamented the death of the smut rag. We had grown up under the legandary mantle of Playboy and its innocence, Penthouse and its penetrative expostions, and (for the lucky ones among us with cool older brothers or pervy dads), the no-holes barred Jugs and Hustler. But then the Internet came along, and suddenly all the Vaseline™ on the lens couldn’t justify paying for porn when there was so much of it for free. And yet, we remained unsatisfied. Sure, there was sometimes amazing porn to be found online, but it lacked the polish, the sheen. Plus, all joking aside, we missed the prose aspect of the smut magazine. As they say, the brain IS the largest sex organ (except on Chris, because DAMN. We’ve seen him in the shower.)

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Earth 'not at risk' from collider

by karlcow

Our planet is not at risk from the world's most powerful particle physics experiment, a report has concluded. The document addresses fears that the Large Hadron Collider is so energetic, it could have unforeseen consequences. Critics are worried that mini-black holes made at the soon-to-open facility on the French-Swiss border might threaten the Earth's very existence.

Et même si cela était possible, ce serait une bien meilleure que des dizaines d'années de catastrophes écologiques et de guerres. Vivent les mini trou noirs !

CERN creates a new super-fast internet, invites tons of people to a deathmatch - Engadget

by springnet
Apparently, when CERN isn't colliding particles (and ripping massive holes in the space-time continuum), it's busy working on a new "internet" which will be 10,000 times faster than our current version.

Introducing templatemaker | Holovaty.com

by pvergain & 1 other
I've just released templatemaker, which is something I've been hacking on and off (mostly off) the past couple of months. It's a Python library for extracting data from similarly formatted text strings. What the heck does that mean? Well, say you want to get the raw data from a bunch of Web pages that use the same template -- like restaurant reviews on Yelp.com, for instance. You can give templatemaker an arbitrary number of HTML files, and it will create the "template" that was used to create those files. ("Template," in this case, means a string with a number of "holes" in it, where the holes represent the parts of the page that change.) Once you've got the template, you can then give it any HTML file that uses that same template, and it will give you the raw data: "The value for hole 1 is 'July 6, 2007', the value for hole 2 is 'blue'," etc.

Ribbon Gift-Bag Handles

by blackgoldfish
Give a plain white gift bag a makeover to match your mood or the theme of the party with a simple ribbon transplant. String the ends of the ribbon through the holes to the inside of the bag and tie knots to hold them in place. Bag it, tag it, and that’s a wrap.

Sandcat Web Application Security

by lecyborg
Sandcat allows web administrators to perform aggressive and comprehensive scans of an organization's web server to isolate vulnerabilities and identify security holes. The Sandcat scanner requires basic inputs such as host names, start URLs and port numbers to scan a complete web site and test all the web applications for security vulnerabilities.

meowme

by gregg
We want to make our pets as comfortable as possible at all times. At home we provide safe places for our pets to retire to when tired or scared. But, when we traveled with our pets the best we could do was pet crates and cages. Usually they are hard plastic boxes with ventilation holes and a door. Our pets are unfamiliar with the pet carrier and associate it with frightening events such as being locked in the baggage compartment of a public transportation vehicle or traveling to the veterinarian's office.
