Conçu pour restaurer des partitions qui auraient été perdues. Lorsqu'il en trouve une, il la localise et la monte pour vous, secteur de boot compris .Une partition convenablement restaurée livrera son contenu. 3 recherche : fast intellectual, normal et throughout, le premier fonctionnant dans la plupart des cas, c'est le plus rapide. Les systèmes FAT32 et NTFs sont reconnus. Une fois qu'une partition est trouvée, elle devient montable et vous lui assignez une lettre de lecteur afin d'aller voir ce qui se trouve dedans sans explorateur particulier. Pour garantir la sécurité des données, le montage se fait en lecture seule : vous ne pourrez que copier le contenu de la partition vers un autre support. Il est possible de créer des images de certaines partitions ou disques pour les scanner ultérieurement. Il ne s'agit toutefois pas d'image disque à la norton ghost. Version gratuite : récupération de fichiers sur partition montée est limitée à 512 Ko/s comme taux de transfert

- Accept that everything is a draft. It helps to get it done.

- Pretending you know what you're doing is almost the same as knowing what you are doing, so just accept that you know what you're doing even if you don't and do it.
- Banish procrastination. If you wait more than a week to get an idea done, abandon it.
- The point of being done is not to finish but to get other things done.
- Once you're done you can throw it away.
- Laugh at perfection. It's boring and keeps you from being done.
- People without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.
- Failure counts as done. So do mistakes.
- Destruction is a variant of done.
- If you have an idea and publish it on the internet, that counts as a ghost of done.
- Done is the engine of more.

CloneGenius est un utilitaire gratuit qui permet de sauvegarder et restaurer vos disques durs. Tout comme le logiciel commercial Ghost, CloneGenius vous propose de cloner une ou plusieurs partitions en créant une image de votre disque.
Concrètement, le programme se présente sous forme d'une image iso à graver sur CD (avec un logiciel de gravure comme DeepBurner par exemple). Après avoir booté sur le live CD (basé sur une mini distribution Linux), l'interface graphique du programme vous permettra de cloner votre système Windows (de 98 à Vista), que ce soit de disque à disque ou de partition à partition.
Enfin, on appréciera le fait que CloneGenius supporte les bus IDE, SATA, SCSI ainsi que l'interface USB.

PING is a live Linux ISO, based on the excellent Linux From Scratch (LFS) documentation. It can be burnt on a CD and booted, or integrated into a PXE / RIS environment.
