This exhibition (the largest of this kind in NY) will explore the transition from the New York underground subculture scene to the mainstream. Important photographers who have documented rare scenes of the street art movement will be represented in the show: Martha Cooper, Henry Chalfant, Jamel Shabazz and Silvio Magaglio. The first generation artists of the street scene in New York during the 1970’s and 80’s: Blade, Crash, Daze, JonOne, Lee Quinoñes, Quik , Rammellzee and Sharp will produce fresh works alongside their European contemporaries: Victor Ash, Banksy, Blek le Rat, Ikon, Sozy One and sculptor, Plateus who have since entered the pantheon.

Bailouts & Bank Credit Crisis Could Cause British Great Depression

Niall Ferguson, respected economic historian, warns of other European countries facing an Iceland style bankruptcy. 'Switzerland is first in line… and Britain is not far behind,' he says. While many politicians in Europe like to shift the blame for the credit crisis to the U.S. Niall points out that excessive lending and leveraging was much more endemic in countries such as Germany and the U.K. Yet the U.K Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, like many European politicians continues to argue that the world is being brought down by a U.S. caused recession.

The most daring piece of public art ever commissioned in the UK, Turning the Place Over is artist Richard Wilson’s most radical intervention into architecture to date, turning a building in Liverpool’s city centre literally inside out. One of Wilson’s very rare temporary works, Turning the Place Over colonises Cross Keys House, Moorfields, and will be launched on 18 May 2007 and will run through until end of 2008.

The ECB is forecast - only forecast - to keep things the same, resisting any pressure to cut - which the larger members of the EU, France, Germany, would prefer - but others, Portugal, for example are dead against it.
