Save The Words

by gregg & 1 other
The Oxford dictionary has developed a hip new way to keep old, flagging words from disappearing entirely. On the interactive site savethewords.com, words like magistricide (the killing of a teacher or a master), tussicate (to cough) and scathefire (a great, destructive fire) vie for your attention visually and by cheerfully quipping “Pick me! Pick me!” as you mouse around the site homepage.

Global namespace pollution in IE

Happy *Cough* Birthday!

by mcsalmon
Spanking new site width lots of potential. It's "answering the advertising maelstrom" by allowing users to submit altered advertisements and then putting them on display. It's kind of like The Consumerist meets PostSecret. There's only a few up now, but this is one of the best.

Screw Metal

by lpgott8 & 1 other
You've reached the screw metal blog. WTF is screw metal?? Well, it's a unique blend of hip hop trends with metal music. Screwed (a.k.a. Chopped and screwed) music is music that's been slowed and chopped up to form a unique sound. It was originally (and still is) made to enhance the effects of an active ingrediant of cough syrup (Dextromethorphan), that creates a slowed down feeling. What you'll find here is chopped and screwed metal / heavy rock music, and alot of other interesting things.

Towards tag-based bookmark management in web browsers? (plasticbag.org)

by nhoizey & 4 others (via)
So since playing with Flickr and working on a little fun project at work on (cough) folksonomies with Mr Webb, I've become obsessed with tags and the ways in which they can be used to build better navigational interfaces. Currently I'm interested in how we might use tags for better folder-less bookmark management in web browsers.

Why Do Bad Ideas Keep Resurfacing?
