NAS Adapter from Addonics

by oseres (via)
The Addonics NAS Adapter is a convenient and economical solution for adding any USB storage devices onto your LAN (Local Area Network). Once on the network, the USB storage can be shared by any network user, just like an ordinary NAS device. When use in conjunction with Addonics Storage Towers or Storage Racks, a Multi-Tera bytes storage with various RAID capabilities can be instantly added to the LAN. With the NAS adapter, you can custom build you own NAS appliance with RAID capability and plenty of storage expansion using Addonics family of Drive Enclosures, Port Multipliers, and IO converters. Come built-in with a USB 2.0/1.1 connection and a fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps connection, the NAS adapter supports both SMB (Server Message Block) and the open source Samba network protocols, allowing for cross-platform access of all shared data for most versions of Windows, Mac OS X, and various Linux distributions. For remote users who are not connected over the LAN, the NAS Adapter provides FTP access for up to 8 simultaneous users anywhere in the world with an internet connection. In addition, the NAS adapter can also be used as a print server or as a Bit-Torrent downloading appliance.

An SVG Primer

by Yann_L & 2 others
This is neither an introductory text book, nor a reference manual. Instead, it is aimed so that any of these people : * an upper division undergraduate student with a few semesters under her belt of computing coursework; * a professional web programmer; * a graphic designer with a strong technical bent; or * a science teacher who wants to build graphical presentations might be able to pick it up and then do any or all of the following: * work through it over the course of a few days, developing a basic understanding; * be able, in a week or two, to make a decent graphical front-end to a web site that demands innovative and interactive graphics; * at any time during the next year or two of work with SVG, be able to pick up the book, look up a new topic, and with little effort, find an illustration of what they'd like to know about and with a minimum of reading, to be able to make sense of the examples provided.

Google Wave Developer Blog: Introducing the Google Wave APIs: what can you build?

by night.kame & 2 others

Gadgets, which you may know from OpenSocial, are client-side programs that make it easy to write full applications inside of Google Wave. The neat part is that we've introduced an extension to the OpenSocial gadgets API that enables you to take advantage of the collaborative nature of Wave when building a gadget.

Grace à Wave, Google va enfin pouvoir capturer toutes les données privées qui lui échappaient car il ne les hébergeait pas. Bientôt Google Universal Proxy va vous promettre de remplacer Tor et Freenet pour votre navigation sécurisée.

Google Wave Developer Blog: Introducing the Google Wave APIs: what can you build?

by srcmax & 2 others (via)

The Google Wave APIs come in two flavors: Embed and Extensions. With Embed, you're able to bring waves into your own site through a simple JavaScript API. For example, embedding a wave in a webpage is a good way to encourage a discussion among the visitors. With Extensions, you're able to write programs, which are packaged as Robots or Gadgets, that provide rich functionality inside the Google Wave web client.

Google Wave Developer Sandbox Account Request – Google

by srcmax (via)
Thanks for your interest in the Google Wave. We are in a limited developer preview, and will only be giving out accounts to developers who intend to build with the Google Wave APIs prior to the public release. During this preview phase, please keep in mind that this developer sandbox should not be relied upon to persist data, and may be completely down for periodic maintenance.
