The Myth of Music Ownership - O'Reilly Broadcast
The Myth Of Music Ownership: the belief that you own the recording, same as if it were integrally attached to a conglomeration of atoms, like the print on a dollar bill, just because you can play a copy of a digital audio file using a media player specifically designed to let you do just that.

Spoke-o-dometer Overview - Open Source Urbanism
This project involves creating a Persistence Of Vision (POV) device for mounting on a bike wheel. There are a few of these devices already on the market (and we've bought a couple to experiment with); this project differs in that it combines a basic bike meter with the POV readout. The device will display speed and total distance travelled. Unlike standard bike computers, this information isn't displayed for the cyclist but broadcast to other people in the street. By making this information public we give the cyclist's activities greater 'visibility' within the urban environment.
About - Open Source Urbanism
Cities are the physical manifestation of flows of people, material, money, and increasingly, information. The city is both a product and a generator of these flows. Much of this information – such as temperature, train delays, population density, accident locations and stock prices – is mapped, recorded and broadcast in real-time through the Internet. This data is superimposed on the physical city as a dense digital cloud.

Geospatial Revolution Project | A Public Service Media Project
We live in the Global Location Age. “Where am I?” is being replaced by, “Where am I in relation to everything else?”
Penn State Public Broadcasting is developing the Geospatial Revolution Project, an integrated public service media and outreach initiative on the brave new world of digital mapping.
The project will include a 60-minute public television broadcast program, a structured outreach initiative
with educational partners, a chaptered program DVD including educational toolkit components, and a Web site with information and additional resources.
