Originating in 19th century Belgium by crossing local cattle with British cattle, the Belgian Blue cattle are gigantic bovine wonders. Their enormous size and muscle mass, sometimes called "double muscling," is a naturally occurring mutation of the gene for myostatin, a protein that regulates muscle growth. This mutation results in accelerated lean muscle growth.

Hardly 3 days after launch the site is a global success with currently over 200000 visitors and counting, definitely on its way to become the most popular Belgian website ever. Ne jamais être là où on l'attend, tel semble être la devise artistique de The Married Monk. Successeur inattendu de The Belgian Kick, ce cinquième album est la musique d'Elephant People, un opéra pop qui rassemble les figures emblématiques de la monstruosité. Pour l'occasion, le chanteur guitariste Christian Quermalet, le bassiste Philippe Lebruman, le saxophoniste Etienne Jaumet et le nouveau batteur Nicolas Courret (Bed, Headphone), qui jouent sur scène pendant des représentations ont concocté une bande-son alternant chansons enivrantes et passages parlés par les comédiens du spectacle, dont la créature post-moderne Vincent McDoom.

These metalic balls are a part of Pol Bury's "Les fontaines à boules". Two fountains that the belgian artist placed in Palais Royal, near Buren's Columns. Sadly, they are not moving anymore and I couldn't find any water animating them.

A Belgian newscaster apologized on Tuesday for suggesting French President Nicolas Sarkozy was drunk in footage shot at the G8 summit that ranks among the top video clips on the YouTube website.
More than one million Internet surfers have watched the video of the news conference given by Sarkozy -- a teetotaler -- at the Group of Eight summit in Germany last week in which he appeared short of breath and euphoric.

Psygarden.be :: Online Psychedelic Art Gallery

In 2001 Psygarden started out as a Belgian psytrance community with a forum for Belgian trance lovers to exchange ideas, party information and anything psytrance related. Mid 2005, the two founders split it up into two projects. Dr. Gonzo launched www.psychedelic.be and Rik Helsen kept the original project, focusing 100 per cent on the art galleries. The main goal of Psygarden is to promote visual artists who make our partying experience a visual extravaganza, exploring new techniques and more advanced materials. Due to the lack of a central community giving these artists the recognition they deserve, Psygarden have come along and done just that. The art gallery offers a platform for artists to display their work alongside a short biography. Since the relaunch of the art gallery, Psygarden is growing exponentially and already features over 75 of the best visual artists related to psytrance today.
The art gallery has been present at various events over the past few years. Psygarden is certainly making a difference in the psychedelic art scene and the artists involved deserve more attention. Names like Luke Brown, Naoto Hattori, Psymbolic Visual and Alex Grey were all at the 2006 exposition. Among the artists are backdrop painters, painting fluoro acrylic on cotton based or lycra fabrics, evolving into 3D structures, visionary artists, using oil on canvas, and digital artists, creators of visuals, flyers, posters and CD covers. Some of the most talented Photoshop wizards in the psytrance scene have joined up with Psygarden to have their work promoted.
