Recyclable Paper Laptop by Je Sung Park » Yanko Design
I quite agree with Je Sung Park when he says that disposable cameras and cell phones have gained acceptance, so why don’t we take the next step and bring out a disposable computer. His Recyclable Paper Laptop is quite a raw version and could do with some refinement. It uses recycled paper or pulp material all packed in layers. This is so that you can easily replace the damaged portions (even corrugated paper will tear easy). The vibe of a Paper Laptop is intriguing, I kno eventually someone will figure out the tech bit, so let’s see who will take the bait.

The full extent of executive pay
The pay gap between executives and the average American worker has always been pretty big, and seems to have increased as the world's economy grows. But with the recent recession bringing the most desperate financial conditions the world has seen since the Great Depression, one could be excused for expecting this gap to be reduced.
Corey Goldberg: Selenium RC with Python in 30 Seconds
Selenium is a suite of tools to automate web app testing across many platforms. It has various pieces (Core, RC, IDE, etc), and I struggled trying to figure out how everything fits together and works. At the end of the day, all I wanted to do was use Selenium from my Python code to drive a browser session.

What Visualization Tool/Software Should You Use? – Getting Started | FlowingData
With all of the available tools to help you visualize data, it can be confusing where to start. The good news is, well, that there are a lot of (free) available tools out there to help you get started. It's just a matter of deciding which one suits you best. This is a guide to help you figure that out.
Prefixes, not that complicated. | Garbage Collection
We were able to come up with rules that make using prefixes in almost any context simpler. Note, these are for the most part AUTHORING guidelines, not requirements when reading:
1. Reusing the same prefix in the same document with different meanings is horribly confusing (”If you did that, I’d break your figures.”). Possible to figure out, but not really desirable. Seems like a reasonable place for a warning.
2. Defining all the prefixes in one place makes it simpler to keep track of them. But understood when it would be simpler to define a new prefix for a section of content.
3. “Couldn’t you have a simple tool that just shows you what prefixes are defined at any point in the document?” How such a tool has failed to exist in the XML world… may write this.

Monopoly City Streets: What's going on?
We had planned for a lot of traffic on launch day and had been load testing the game - in fact, we've been testing and optimizing for a whole month. However, between the enthusiasm of Monopoly fans around the world, everyone who was excited to try out the new experience and non-stop mentions of the game on Twitter, blogs and everywhere else, our servers were overwhelmed. Based on the stats we have, we show a daily rate of about 1.7 million unique visitors, but the figure is likely far higher.

Symposium for the Future » It is easy to fall in love with technology… (by danah boyd)
There are also no such things as “digital natives.” Just because many of today’s youth are growing up in a society dripping with technology does not mean that they inherently know how to use it. They don’t. Most of you have a better sense of how to get information from Google than the average youth. Most of you know how to navigate privacy settings of a social media tool better than the average teen. Understanding technology requires learning.

formalchemy - Project Hosting on Google Code
FormAlchemy greatly speeds development with SQLAlchemy mapped classes (models) in a HTML forms environment.
FormAlchemy eliminates boilerplate by autogenerating HTML input fields from a given model. FormAlchemy will try to figure out what kind of HTML code should be returned by introspecting the model's properties and generate ready-to-use HTML code that will fit the developer's application.

“They actually … attempted to downplay what the existing control center looks like, because they wanted to make it look real to the average eye as compared to… we’re pretty Star Trekky up in the new control center now.”
