Bon nombre de sociétés semblent avoir découvert que l'internet mobile existait uniquement depuis l'arrivée de l'iPhone. Une situation totalement stupide car bien entendu l'internet mobile existe depuis des années déjà avec les terminaux Windows Mobile ou Symbian, même s'il est vrai que les sites WEB mobile ne sont pas encore très nombreux sur la toile.

To embed citation metadata into html in such a way that processing agents can discover, process and make use of the metadata. Since an important use of this metadata will be to allow processing agents to make OpenURL hyperlinks for users in libraries (latent OpenURL), the method must allow the metadata to be placed any where in HTML that a link might appear. In the absence of some metadata-aware agent, the embedded metadata must be invisible to the user and innocuous with respect to HTML markup. To meet these requirements, the span element was selected. The NISO OpenURL ContextObject is selected as the specific metadata package. The resulting specification is named "ContextObject in SPAN" or COinS for short. ..... LoJack for Laptops is based on the Computrace Agent software that is embedded into the BIOS firmware of computers. Some PC makers, such as Dell, optionally embed the Agent into laptops at the factory and offers LoJack service to laptop buyers. However, if you purchase LoJack separately, you can install the Agent yourself.

Du continent américain à l'Inde en passant par l'Europe, une enquête magistrale et alarmante sur la multinationale américaine qui commercialise 90 % des OGM dans le monde. La société Monsanto, multinationale américaine née en 1901 à Saint Louis, dans le Missouri, et d'abord spécialisée dans l'industrie chimique, est devenue en un peu plus d'un siècle le leader mondial des biotechnologies, en particulier sur le marché des organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM). Elle détient les brevets de 90 % du maïs, du soja, du colza ou du coton transgéniques cultivés dans le monde. Par le biais de rachats successifs, elle est en train de devenir le premier semencier de la planète et, à terme, c'est la chaîne alimentaire tout entière qu'elle pourrait contrôler. Mais c'est d'abord avec le Round Up, son herbicide "total" (longtemps estampillé "biodégradable") qu'elle a commencé, à partir de 1974, à conquérir le monde. On lui doit aussi des produits aussi variés que le terrible agent Orange, massivement déversé sur le Viêt-nam par l'armée américaine, les PCB (pyralène en France, interdit au début des années 80), l'aspartame ou les hormones de croissance (interdites en Europe et au Canada). Monsanto, avertit Marie-Monique Robin, est l'une des entreprises "les plus controversées de l'ère industrielle".«

The proximeter is both an agent that tracks the past and future proximity of one’s social cloud, and an instrument that charts this in an ambient display. By reading existing calendar and social network feeds of others, and abstracting these into a glanceable pattern of paths, we hope to nuture within users a social proprioception and nudge them toward more face-to-face interactions when opportunities arise.

“Being nameless or unidentifiable”. When we are browsing the internet, we are identifiable by “IP Address” and our “Browser header/HTTP header”. Firstly, get Firefox, and this extension. User Agent Switcher allows you to change.. well, your user extension. I recommend either making one up entirely or just randomising them at certain points in the day. Secondly, get the stable Tor package from here. Follow the instructions for installing it here. Get TorButton for Firefox, and you’re ready to go. You can check your IP address here before enabling Tor, and again after enabling it, to make sure it’s different. There are other type’s of proxies to port; for instance, web based proxies such as Proxifier.co.uk. Essentially, a webbased proxy will load the site onto it’s server, and you will load it from their server. These are better for people who wish to bypass a network blocklist at college or their workplace, as they require no installation and no ports to be forwarded.

Description: This is an illustration of steamship "California" at sea (1848 1894). Only a few passengers were on board when the ship left New York on October 6, 1848. By the time the ship reached its stop on the Panama's Pacific coast, word had spread of the great new find of gold in California. Over 700 people tried to get passage on the ship in that harbor. The Pacific Mail agent managed to cram 365 people aboard the ship before it set sail for California. The ship and passengers reached San Francisco on February 28, 1949, where all but one member of the crew deserted the ship for the goldfields. The ship was lost in a wreck off the Peruvian coast in 1894.
