WordPress › More Fields « WordPress Plugins

by mozkart & 1 other (via)
More Fields is a WordPress plugin that adds boxes to the Write/Edit page. These boxes contains input fields, so that additional (more) fields can be added to a post. For example, if you write about books, you can add a box where you can enter title and author, etc. The boxes can be placed either to the right or to the left on the Write/Edit page. In addition, the new version of More Fields enables you to define post types, which are custom Write/Edit pages that contains a pre-defined set of boxes. For example, you write about books and you write about your holidays, then you can define a post type 'Book' and a post type 'Holiday' each containing the input boxes relevant to each type of text. You can also set pre-defined categories, tags and templates for each post type.

In addition, you can add content via the Hook, which I will explain briefly.

swissmiss | Heroine

by fabifab
Heroine is inspired by the typeface Windsor, designed by Eleisha Pechey in 1905. Windsor is the typeface used in the titles of many Woody Allen movies. A modern interpretation of this rusty pearl is something that always have been missing in the major type libraries. But Heroine is not only an interpretation, it goes beyond that. With the addition of swashes and alternate letters in several styles it becomes very addicitve.

Google Geo Developers Blog: Announcing the Google Qualified JS Maps Developer program

Designed for professionals who currently develop or want to develop applications based on Google and Google-sponsored Open Source APIs, the Google Qualified Developer program will help promote developers to the Google community, provide credibility, and leverage the wisdom of the masses in rating and recognizing best in class developers. In this program, we assess developers in four areas, each of which provides a score towards an overall total required for qualification. Developers must maintain a minimum number of points to remain qualified within the program. Points are awarded for examples of development work, community participation, professional references, and scores on examinations.

Vim Recipes - Free cookbook for the Vim text editor

by Yann_L (via)
disponible au format pdf, html, bzip, zip "This book is written to be consulted when you're looking for a better way to perform a task. It does not replace Vim's excellent built-in documentation, but complements it by focussing on tasks rather than commands. It will always be incomplete by virtue of Vim having more features and extensions than I have years alive, but will hopefully still serve as an indispensable reference. In addition to being free, this book is open source. The files from which it is compiled are freely available, for you to examine and, hopefully, improve."

smarthistory

by e_D_D_y
For years we have been dissatisfied with the large expensive art history textbook. We found that they were difficult for many students, contained too many images, and just were not particularly engaging. In addition, we had found the web resources developed by publishers to be woefully uncreative. We had developed quite a bit of content for our online Western art history courses and we had also created many podcasts, and a few screencasts for our smARThistory blog. So, it finally occurred to us, why not use the personal voice that we use when we teach online, along with the multimedia we had already created for our blog and for our courses, to create a more engaging "web-book" that could be used in conjunction with art history survey courses. We are also committed to joining the growing number of teachers who make their content freely available on the web.
