Dorothy

by gregg
Dorothy is a collective of like-minded people working on unlike-minded ideas. Over the years we’ve made, designed and promoted things, winning Design Week, D&AD and New York Festivals – although winning the Co-op’s under 12’s drawing competition still ranks up there as one of our proudest moments.

Inside the Story

by gregg
This is a book like no other: it's not about the basics, or the easy wins. It's about creating remarkable, high quality stories that endure and make an impact. And it's written by the people who really know what they're talking about. Almost all of the contributors have won awards, including Emmys, Webbys and BAFTAs, and work for The New York Times, The Guardian, Media Storm, This American Life, the BBC and others.

Lista del mejor software libre para Windows

by m.meixide

Second screens: The social TV experience is all about apps - Apr. 9, 2012

by sbrothier
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- While you're on the couch watching American Idol, chances are you're also updating your Facebook status on your smartphone or tablet, or hitting Google for the name of that ubiquitous character actor you can't quite identify. There's also Twitter. Posts on it set two all-time records during the Super Bowl, one at halftime and another just two hours later at the game's end.

Association for Cultural Equity - Alan Lomax

by m.meixide & 1 other
The Association for Cultural Equity (ACE), housed at the Fine Arts Campus of New York City's Hunter College, was chartered as a charitable organization in the State of New York in 1983. It was founded by Alan Lomax to explore and preserve the world's expressive traditions with humanistic commitment and scientific engagement. Alan Lomax was a musicologist, writer and producer who spent his life capturing in sound, photographs, video and research what today is termed our "intangible heritage." The central value of his career was the promotion of cultural equity as the need for every culture to express and develop its distinctive heritage, believing it should be recognized as a fundamental human right. His "Appeal for Cultural Equity" anticipated by decades UNESCO's 2003 declaration to safeguard intangible oral heritage.

La estructura de directorios en GNU/Linux

by m.meixide

Filesystem Hierarchy Standard

by m.meixide
