Now BMW claims to have taken a further lead among car OEMs with the development of a multimedia content delivery system that streams video and music via cellular or Wi-Fi connections to a car's console. The system allows you to select video or sound files on your PC's hard drive, which you can then transfer wirelessly to the BMW's 20-GB console.

German tuners Hamann have released a performance upgrade package for the new SUV. The modified car is the top-end 4.8i model that’s powered by a 355hp V8 engine in standard guise. Hamann bumps output to 400hp thanks to a free-flow exhaust system and ECU upgrade, which enables the big ute to reach 0 to 100km/h in just 6.2 seconds beating the standard car’s acceleration figure by 0.3 seconds. Top speed remains electronically limited to 250km/h.
