praises of Michel Ocelot in these pages and now it looks as though French animation house Gebeka have got something truly remarkable coming in Tom Moore’s Brendan and the Secret of Kells.

This film, La mémoire des Anges, is getting a lot of buzz since it got picked up for the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival this fall. The film is cut together with existing archival footage of Montreal in the 50s and 60s. I haven’t seen it yet, but the energy of the cinematography and music in the trailer is thrilling. Tags:
