Selon l’article 2 de la loi , la « création de blogs et de sites Internet faisant la promotion de la corruption, de la prostitution et de l’apostasie (c’est à dire le rejet de la religion ndrl) » seront désormais punissables de la peine capitale, au même titre que le vol à main armée, le viol ou la création de réseaux de prostitution. Ensuite, selon l’article 3, l’auteur de ce crime pourra au choix être désigné par les juges comme « mohareb » (ennemi de Dieu) ou « Mofsed fe-al-arz » (corrupteur sur terre), des crimes passibles, selon l’article 190 du code pénal iranien, de pendaison ou d’amputation de la main droite puis du pied gauche. Enfin l’article 6 précise que « les peines pour les crimes décrits dans la présente loi ne peuvent pas faire l’objet d’une réduction, d’un remplacement ou d’une suspension ».
