CHASING NAPOLEON

After Madlib was forced to cancel a show in Paris late last year, Malcolm Catto came from London to Paris on a moment’s notice with fellow Heliocentrics Jake Ferguson (bass) and Adey Owasu (guitar) of The Heliocentrics, and stole the show in front of 650 rather frenzied Stones Throw fans. This less-than-ten-minute section of their one hour jam session doesn’t come close to capturing the vibe in the cramped quarters of La Bellevilloise that Saturday, 6th of December 2008.

One of the final sessions at Gilbane SF yesterday was around content standards: CMIS, JSR-170 and JSR-283.

Many realize there are several challenges with CMIS in particular and efficiently working with content from disparate content repositories in general.

The session aimed at shedding light on some of these challenges and possible solutions in the standards space.

_____For me it works for both Megaupload and megavideo ( i didn't tried rapidshare) : 1) for megaupload , with CS Lite i block megaupload.com cookie (whitelist mode) and i can do as much downlaods as i want 2) for megavideo , i block megavideo.com cookie of course , but i also have to use flashblock (an addon) : it blocks the megavideo player (megavideopalyer.swf) and a strange flash object at the bottom of the page called "cookie.swf" (you know what it would mean) . and , to conclude with i delete Flash Cookies staticmegavideo.com (3 or 4 LSOs) with Better Privacy addon (last version is 1.41 on irts website ) at each end of session.01.09.2009

Beirut : la Black Session (2007)

This session was recorded around November of 2007. It was broadcast by radio station Frnace Inter. The session features covers of Jacques Brel's 'Le Moribond', Kocani Orkestar's 'Siki Siki Baba' and Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah', which I have only found before in a really bad quality recording. If you haven't listened to Zach Condon's albums you should. You can download the whole session at the bottom and preview a few of the tracks.
