This site uses frames and works perfectly with Netscape Navigator 3.0 and Internet Explorer 3.0. This site is best viewed on workplace sizes from 800 x 600 pixels on. Should you encounter any problems with viewing, please contact me by clicking on the envelope.
The whole site was created with the Windows Notepad and Adobe Photoshop, conforming HTML 3.2. Nobody is allowed to reproduce parts of this site, including the HTML documents, images and downloadable files on any media.
In the beginning was Netscape Gold. Then Mozilla Composer. From the ashes of Netscape and the code of Mozilla Composer came Nvu. Nvu had a cousin, KompoZer. But all this tools now belong to History and are extinct or on path to extinction.
In the meantime, Mozilla brought Firefox to the masses and its rendering engine, Gecko, has the power to fuel a next-generation wysiwyg editor for the World Wide Web. This editor is BlueGriffon™. Stay tuned !

Highly modern 56Kbps modems would arrive in 1997. * People had only recently started to switch from 640×480 to 800×600 screen resolutions.

Until recently, Apache didn't have a serious open source rival. In Netcraft's latest web server survey, we can see one emerging. As always, Apache has the top spot, Microsoft's IIS is second, and the ever-popular unknown is third. Fourth is Sun's Java Web Server (formerly known as ONE, formerly iPlanet, formerly Netscape). But at number five, serving about 1.4 million sites, is something called lighttpd. Where did that come from? We'll look into lighttpd's history, basic installation and configuration, and some visions of the future.
