L’exposition"InGrezen Frei" (libre dans certaine limite) au musée des "arts décoratifs" de Berlin montre qu’un mouvement à ermergé entre 1979 et 1989...un mouvement qui montrait que cette jeunesse résistait à l’Etat par le refus d’une mode collective en portant des vêtements de création unique. Ces collectifs clandestins fabriquaient leurs propres vêtements et organisaient des défilés de mode. Benno Allemann besitzt Tausende alte Spielsachen. Seine Puppenhäuser sind jetzt in einem Museum zu besichtigen. An der Bellerive-Strasse, Ecke Kreuzbuchstrasse in der Stadt Luzern kommen Puppenfans neu voll auf ihre Kosten. Benno Allemann, der zusammen mit seiner Frau Rita seit Jahrzehnten Spielzeug sammelt, zeigt seine Schätze aus den Jahren 1840 bis 1930 nun dort in einem Museum.

Ever wish you could remix the gallery experience? When I walk into a museum I enjoy the structure—the information given, which objects have been placed where, the specific sequence in which the space has been designed—but I will admit, there are times when I want something else too….something that’s a bit off the charts and possibly something that is always subject to change. I’m positive this other need has something to do with all those Choose Your Own Adventure books I was hooked on as a kid.

Aaron Koblin is an an artist specializing in data visualization. His work takes social and infrastructural data and uses it to examine cultural trends and emergent patterns. Aaron’s work has been shown at international festivals including Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH, OFFF, the Japan Media Arts Festival, and TED. He received the National Science foundation's first place award for science visualization and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. As Technology Lead of Google’s Creative Lab in San Francisco, Aaron helped to launch Chrome Experiments, a website showcasing JavaScript work from designers around the world.

MRD (That’s Machine Readable Data – I couldn’t seem to find a better term..) is probably about as important as it gets. It underpins an entire approach to content which is flexible, powerful and open. It embodies notions of freely moving data, it encourages innovation and visualisation. It is also not nearly as hard as it appears – or doesn’t have to be.
