Samurai Baka Funny T-Shirt - Tees My Body

This shirt was inspired by my brick mason cousin. The company he works for was installing brick on a strip mall that rents to a post office, party supply store, and a Japanese gift shop. Anyway, my doofus cuz accidentally stepped in a wheelbarrow full of mortar with his new timberlands and was so pissed he began screaming while spinning a shovel above his head like a helicopter. Well, he eventually lost grip and the shovel flew right through the Japanese store window. The owner came out yelling and started to chase him holding an aluminum samurai sword, but luckily my cousin managed to lock himself in a portalet where the Japanese guy waited for him for like 2 hours. Finally the store owner gave up, but before he left he snarled through the portalet ventand whispered “baka”.

Macleans.ca - Is George W. Bush the worst president in 100 years?

On March 16, Iraqi insurgents fired a mortar shell into the U.S. army base in Tikrit, landing near two members of the 101st Airborne Division, reportedly as they stood waiting for a bus. The explosion killed Sgt. Amanda Pinson of St. Louis, Mo., making her the 2,315th U.S. soldier killed in Iraq since the war began three years ago. She was 21.

A few hours later in Washington, the U.S. Senate voted 52-48 to increase the ceiling on the national debt, by $781 billion, to $9 trillion (all figures US$) -- or roughly $30,000 for every man, woman and child in the country -- thus avoiding the first-ever default on U.S. debt. The House of Representatives then approved another $92 billion in federal spending to support the war effort in the Middle East.

That night, Gallup wrapped up its latest opinion poll on Americans' attitudes toward the White House, showing just 37 per cent approve of the President's performance, versus 59 per cent who disapprove -- a drop of five percentage points in a month -- one of the worst scores of any president in the modern era.

Blog de Chris Anderson -The Long Tail

I'm Chris Anderson, the editor of Wired Magazine. I wrote The Long Tail, which first appeared in Wired in October 2004 and will become a book, published by Hyperion, in early 2006.

The Long Tail is about how the mass market is turning into a million niches. The term refers to the yellow part of the sales chart at left, which shows a standard demand curve that could apply to any industry, from entertainment to services. The vertical axis is sales, the horizontal is products. The red part of the curve is the "hits", which have dominated our commercial decisions to date. The yellow part is the non-hits, or niches, which I argue in the article will prove equally important in the future now that technology has provided efficient ways to give consumers access to them thanks to the "infnite shelf-space effect" of new distribution mechanisms that break thought the bottlenecks of broadcast and traditional bricks and mortar.
