Je persiste et je signe, je reste persuadé que le directeur de cette société n'a pas eu les vraies informations, dès le début. FWAPhoto goes mobile A few weeks ago theFWA released their brand new FWAPhoto concept. An online gallery showcasing the worlds most beautiful artwork. Together with Group94, they released an AIR-based screensaver called ‘lightboxer’ which brings FWAPhoto to the desktop. It visualizes the photo of the day, but that’s not all. In order to personalize the photostream, people are able to add their favourite pictures in the lightboxer. This is perfectly manageble on fwaphoto.com, the beautiful homepage of this initiative.

I met today’s news about Opera’s new initiative — called Unite — with a mix of shock and awe. On the one hand, I was sickened by the lack of analysis from the echolalic blogger news corps. It appeared that Opera PR had successfully reached out to all of them, shoved a news release down their throats and waited to give them the go-ahead to regurgitate it on their blogs, using the same screenshots, same content, and differing only in the pithiness of their post titles.

At the time I was a venture capitalist for SAP, the enterprise software company, and in my travels in the enterprise software market it became evident that blogging would be a powerful communication channel for enterprises to use, and a powerful information collection mechanism for bottom up corporate intelligence. Combined with search technology, social networking software, and wikis, I was witnessing the inception of an entirely new generation of knowledge management software.
