zastica - IconBuffet is Dead ?

For some time, the once-popular social web site dedicated to collecting and sharing web icons has been languishing in a state of limbo. In it’s heyday, it boasted a huge amount of interest, and more activity than it’s servers could handle. New sets of icons to trade and download were released weekly, at the very least. It offered increased service for a monthly fee, giving users 3 times the in-game currency to buy new icon sets than free users received. Sometimes, even that wasn’t enough to keep up with the flood of icons.

YouTube - boyinstatic's Channel

Boy In Static is Boston's Alexander Chen, a self-taught musician, singer/songwriter and graphic artist. Beginning his recording career with a three-song demo and a game of email tag with the Notwist's Alien Transistor label, Boy In Static's first album, Newborn, was released in 2005 after the two sides finally met at a Boston area concert. An amply proficient musician, Chen is able to play numerous instruments as well as arrange the live recordings he produces with a tight-knit group of musical collaborators. With a sound that ranges from the wall-of-sound aesthetic of Creation's heyday to the electronic pop of Morr Music, Boy In Static's music finds a comfortable balance between processed sounds and timeless songwriting.

TenSpot: Top Ten Rhythm Games

Though rhythm games arguably had their heyday 5 to 10 years ago, recent releases have shown us that the genre has still got it, and it continues to improve every step of the way. We now take a look back at the top 10 rhythm games of all time, leaving no platform unturned and letting no region-encoding stand in our way. As with every TenSpot, the games listed aren't in any particular order, so don't go reading between the lines, thinking we've ranked them. All of these games stand as equals in their collective greatness.
