<title>WP-Cycle Plugin — Nathan Rice</title>
<link>http://www.nathanrice.net/plugins/wp-cycle/</link>
<description>The WP-Cycle plugin allows you to upload images from your computer, which will then be used to generate a jQuery Cycle Plugin slideshow of the images.
Each image can also be given a URL which, when the image is active in the slideshow, will be used as an anchor wrapper around the image, turning the image into a link to the URL you specified. The slideshow is set to pause when the user hovers over the slideshow images, giving them ample time to click the link.
Images can also be deleted via the plugins Administration page.</description>

<title>Box Backup - Trac</title>
<link>http://www.boxbackup.org/trac/wiki</link>
<description>Box Backup is an open source, completely automatic, on-line backup system. It has the following key features:

    * All backed up data is stored on the server in files on a filesystem - no tape, archive or other special devices are required.

    * The server is trusted only to make files available when they are required - all data is encrypted and can be decoded only by the original client. This makes it ideal for backing up over an untrusted network (such as the Internet), or where the server is in an uncontrolled environment.

    * A backup daemon runs on systems to be backed up, and copies encrypted data to the server when it notices changes - so backups are continuous and up-to-date (although traditional snapshot backups are possible too).

    * Only changes within files are sent to the server, just like rsync, minimising the bandwidth used between clients and server. This makes it particularly suitable for backing up between distant locations, or over the Internet.

    * It behaves like tape - old file versions and deleted files are available.

    * Old versions of files on the server are stored as changes from the current version, minimising the storage space required on the server. Files are the server are also compressed to minimise their size.

    * Choice of backup behaviour - it can be optimised for document or server backup.

    * It is designed to be easy and cheap to run a server. It has a portable implementation, and optional RAID implemented in userland for reliability without complex server setup or expensive hardware.

<title>Mike’s Musings » A Self Cleaning Inbox</title>
<link>http://www.kaply.com/weblog/2008/08/03/a-self-cleaning-inbox/</link>
<description>Imagine an inbox where mail that you’ve read disappears from your inbox after say three days. It could be archived or deleted. The only way to keep it from disappearing is to flag it or file it after you read it. You would be forced to make a decision on mail when you receive it (or within three days) and mail you don’t really care about would simply disappear. And your inbox would only contain very new stuff or stuff you deliberately flagged.

<title>XP Pro will not recognize USB mass storage devices : usb, storage, mass, xp, device</title>
<link>http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Q_20790258.html</link>
<description>Although it is too late for me, I just received this information from MS support. They said it is OK to post:

Dear Stan,

Thank you for your reply. According to the information, I recommend you follow these steps to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Remove Hidden Devices

1. Click Start. Click Run. Type cmd and press OK.
2. Type &quot;set DEVMGR_SHOW_DETAILS=1&quot; (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
3. Type &quot;set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1&quot; (without quotation marks) and Press Enter.
4. Type &quot;start devmgmt.msc&quot; (without quotation marks) and click press Enter.
5. Click View. Click Show hidden devices.
6. Click &quot; &quot; to expand Imaging devices, Unknown devices and USB devices.
7. Are there any digital camera devices and unknown devices (including grayed out devices)? If so, please right click it and click Uninstall.

Step 2: Remove all oem*.inf files

=========================

1. Click start and click run then under the run line type in the command &quot;cmd&quot; (without the quotation marks)

2. In the command line, type in the following (without the quotes) and press enter after each command:

          &quot;cd windowsinf&quot;
          &quot;ren infcache.1 *.old&quot;
          &quot;ren oem*.inf *.old&quot;
          &quot;del C:windowssetupapi.log&quot;
          &quot;exit&quot;

Step 3: Removing all entries under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Enum/USB that start with VID

==================================================================

Removing the VID entries from the registry will cause them to be redetected at restart.

CAUTION: If you have a USB keyboard or mouse, do not remove the VID entry for these devices, otherwise, Windows may not restart correctly.

1. Click Start and click Run. Type regedit and click OK. The Registry Editor window will open.

2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetEnumUSB.

3. Highlight and delete all the VID_.... entries.

Permissions may be set allowing the deletion of the VID_ entries by following the steps below:

a) Right-click the key to be deleted, and then click Permissions. The VID_... Permissions window will open.
b) With Everyone highlighted in the Group or User name section, select Full Control in the Permissions section.
c) Click Apply, and then click OK.

4. Turn off the computer.

Step 4: Reconnect the digital camera to the computer system:

=============================

1. With the computer system turned off, reconnect the Sony DSC-P50 camera to the USB port.
2.      Restart the computer.
3. After the Windows operating system has finished restarting, plug the digital camera into the electrical outlet.
4. A New Hardware Detected window should open and reload the drivers.

If the camera still cannot work, I recommend you plug the camera to another Windows XP computer (Desktop) to test whether this camera works. I suspect it is an incompatibility issue.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
