PowerFolder The secure way to exchange your private data directly

Share your files - Easy and secure

Share photos, music, videos or any kind of files with family and friends - online or at home. Easily grant access to your files via web or direct transfer. PowerFolder doesn't limit the amount of shared data, because it directly works between computers - efficient and secure. Make your files always available - even when you are offline - by creating an online copy.

Secure like online banking

PowerFolder protects your files with industrial security standards that most banks use. All file transfers, web access and the online copy are encrypted with HTTPS/SSL and AES. Fear data loss? PowerFolder has several layers of data protection. Easily restore previous version of your files from the PowerFolder recycle bin.

Access your files - Anywhere at anytime

Simply login at PowerFolder.com and access the online copy of your files via web browser. PowerFolder Pro Home includes 5 gigabytes of online space - that's enough for thousands of photos or music files. If you require more you can upgrade to a larger package - or access your files directly via PowerFolder client without any size limits.

Backup your data - Setup and forget

Continuously backup your own files online and securely access them via web when you need them. PowerFolder can also directly backup to another computer. 5 gigabytes of online backup space are included in each Home license, and no limitations on your own computers. PowerFolder is worry free: Set it up once and forget it - you data is always backed up.

Sync your computers - Automatically

Automatically synchronize files between all your computers across Windows, Mac and Linux. PowerFolder keeps the latest version of your files always available everywhere you need it - online or in local home network.

Speed and efficiency

To minimize the update time PowerFolder syncs only changed parts of a file. Since files can be transferred directly between computers you can unleash the full power of your home network or Internet connection. Got unfinished downloads? PowerFolder automatically resumes them after reconnect. Quickly distribute your files with multi source downloads.

It happens quite often that a blogger publishes posts or static pages on a regular basis which have the same structure. Think about for example a "picture of the day" daily post. With current wordpress state, we need to spend a lot of time doing copy/paste between posts instead of actually writing content.

All the instructions for installation, the support forums, etc. can be found on the plugin home page.

IMPORTANT: LICENSE CHANGE

Since version 4.0.0, the plugin has become a commercial plugin. It can be ordered (for cheap) on the plugin home page.

Version 3.4.x will remain available for download for free on the WordPress plugin repository. No further development will be made on this version.

Optimize caching

<blockquote><p>Most web pages include resources that change infrequently, such as CSS files, image files, JavaScript files, and so on. These resources take time to download over the network, which increases the time it takes to load a web page. HTTP caching allows these resources to be saved, or cached, by a browser or proxy. Once a resource is cached, a browser or proxy can refer to the locally cached copy instead of having to download it again on subsequent visits to the web page. Thus caching is a double win: you reduce round-trip time by eliminating numerous HTTP requests for the required resources, and you substantially reduce the total payload size of the responses. Besides leading to a dramatic reduction in page load time for subsequent user visits, enabling caching can also significantly reduce the bandwidth and hosting costs for your site.</p></blockquote>

The URI microformat takes advantage of OpenURL and existing link resolver solution. It defines a convention of plugging URI metadata in HTML page. If it is adopted and widely used, now a microformat-aware application (be a greasemonkey script, or a web service) can grab the identifier and point to your local OpenURL resolver, you immediately get the copy from local library. It is very similar to COINS, but it's much simpler and cleaner, anyone can understand and use it, and its aplication can be beyond traditional research library. e.g. in a public library, you can use amazon as catalog and immediately check if it's available in local collection.------- COinS provides a great number of additional capabilities that URI microformat can't support. Since COinS can't be dismissed for this reason, it doesn't make sense to me to create yet another standard that does the same thing with so little savings.I will grant that the COinS is less intuitive.....

Presets for ACR are not new, however the free presets available for ACR are both less numerous and less diverse than those created for Lightroom. One way to leverage Lightroom presets in ACR is to copy every setting by hand over to ACR and save the preset, however this is extremely time consuming, and introduces more opportunity for human error.
The following is a procedure that streamlines the conversion process using the metadata power of Adobe’s DNG file format.
