Distributing a new or existing web application on La Distribution is really easy. All we have to do is to embed the application in what we call a package. As of today, La Distribution can theoretically support all PHP web applications, this mean there is tons of potential applications to package.

In contrast with my earlier attempts at migrating to git, mercurial was actually a joy to setup on the server. WSGI, using our existing .htusers file from Trac, a small config script, done. This contrast to git which would require some funky SSH sandboxing and/or PAM setup - yes it can be done, but such hacks shouldn't be needed.
To all our surprise "hg clone" was extremely fast even compared to subversion and especially in comparison to git.

with Intel 945GM, Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy, the external VGA monitor is always cloned. Going into System->Preference->Screen Resolution lets you alter the resolution of the LCD and the external monitor, but it stays cloned whether “Clone Screens” is checked or not. Putting monitor to the left or right of the LCD does nothing (stays cloned). However, putting monitor above or below LCD does work (two desktops, one on top of the other).
