Apple has just announced that Orange will be the Wireless Carrier to support the iPhone's release on the 29th of November. It has took sometime for Apple to come up with a deal along with Orange. Looks like this decision was taken due to the legislation problems in France that demanded from Wireless Carriers to unlock handsets after six months, at the users' request.

I hadn't realized there was a Buzz Problem... There could be a buzz problem. A lot of users have reported that they hear or (even worse) people on the other end of their calls hear an annoying buzzing sound. If you have a problem like this, you might want to ...well, you might want to just go get it fixed. That is, if your Treo 600 is still under contract with someone (either your carrier, the store you bought it from or even PalmOne itself), the safest solution might be going back to those people and asking them to fix the problem. (The most common "solution" for problems like this is simply replacing the entire handset.) That might not be an option for you, however. If you can't get your buzzing problem solved through official channels and you're feeling adventurous (or if you're just feeling adventurous, you crazy person), then you might want to open up your Treo 600 in order to fix the problem yourself.

Since Skype service requires broadband, and broadband so far is inherently fixed, Skype threatens only incumbent FIXED phone service, not mobile service. Skype causes headaches for Verizon, but not for Verizon Wireless. So Skype would appeal most to mobile phone carriers who have no fixed telephone assets. That means no offers from SBC, BellSouth, Sprint, or Verizon, just to speak of U.S. carriers, but Skype might be supremely attractive to a Vodaphone or an NTT DoCoMo, both of which have the ability to finance such a deal effortlessly. Expect Skype to be sold, another viral marketing success sucked up by big business. Expect it to go to either a major broadband provider or, more likely, to a big mobile carrier with no fixed telephone assets. And whoever buys Skype, expect them to throw money into making the company into even more of a multinational telecom headache than it currently is. But, when we traveled with our pets the best we could do was pet crates and cages. Usually they are hard plastic boxes with ventilation holes and a door. Our pets are unfamiliar with the pet carrier and associate it with frightening events such as being locked in the baggage compartment of a public transportation vehicle or traveling to the veterinarian's office.
