Wasteland © 2009 - Produced by Bombay Flying Club - Poul Madsen - Brent Foster - Line Wolf Nielsen - Henrik Kastenskov

For almost a century Jharia coal fields have been on fire in the Indian state of Jharkhand, due to poor mining techniques.
Many of the people who live on the burning fields survive by collecting coal illegally. The coal is burned and then transported to nearby markets for very little money.
A resettlement plan has been put in place, but the area's residents are reluctant to move to safer grounds because the coal earns them their livelihood...
This story has been shot entirely with the Canon 5D Mark II by Poul Madsen and Brent Foster from Bombay Flying Club - bombayfc.com.
Journalist on the story was Line Wolf Nielsen

This article lists billion-dollar Web acquisitions that never delivered on their promise. Some companies and services dwindled away into obscurity, some were sold for significantly less money than they were bought for, and some just crashed and burned.

Many of these brands are still in use today, though they don’t have the luster they once had.

When you play with fire, you get burned. When you smoke, you run the risk of getting burned inside and out. Whether tobacco is smoked, chewed, or taken in by any other means, the nicotine in the tobacco raises the blood pressure.

TheFunded.com: The Resource for Entrepreneurs.

As a serial entrepreneur, I have come to realize over the years how important fundraising is and how difficult it can be.

First, fundraising is far too time consuming for the entrepreneur, wasting valuable time required to grow the business. Second, the fundraising process is often like speed dating with a long-term relationship at the end where you split the proceeds. Everyone puts their best face on, and it is only when the deal is done do you get to see the real value, if any. I have personally been burned, and so have many of my friends.

So, I set out a guide to help entrepreneurs find the perfect funding source for their business. Imagine if you had a comprehensive database of funding sources with practical insights from entrepreneurs who have dealt with the funds...

    * Search for any fund in the world by name, and the list on the left dynamically updates, showing the top rated funds first.
    * Browse for funds by "region" and "funding level" above, and the list of left will save your selection, allowing you to browse with next and previous links.
    * View fund reviews, commentary, facts, and investor contact information by clicking on the fund name.
    * RSS feeds of the most recent public comments from members is available to keep you up-to-date with funding source news.
    * Membership is reserved for entrepreneurs by invitation only. Want a membership? Members must log-in for these benefits:
    * Edit and Add funds and partners by clicking the respective links, but please make sure to include accurate information.
    * Review any fund on a 1-5 scale across five performance criteria to create an overall average fund rating.
    * Comment on both fund and partner performance with both public and private recommendations, and access the private commentary of others.
    * Agree and Disagree instantly with the comments by just clicking on the feedback links.
    * Invite other entrepreneurs to the community by clicking on the Invite Members link next to your login name above.

Funding Level Key:

    * Very Small = $0.0 to $.5 MM investments
    * Small = $0.5 to $1.0 MM investments
    * Medium = $1.0 to $5.0 MM investments
    * Large = $5.0 to $15.0 MM investments
    * Very Large = $15.0 + MM investments

CD Duplication vs CD Replication

CD Duplication vs CD Replication CD Duplication refers to make copies or master disk by CD burning. These days most of us have CD Burner or CD-Writer on personal computers, using that we can make multiple copies of any Audio, Video or Data CD. On the other hand, CD Replication refers to pressed CDs. In CD Replication process, a stamper is made that puts the information into the molded compact disc. It like the regular ink stampers which are used to make impressions like “Q.C. Passed” or “Paid”, it’s just similar to that. Carried by a conveyor belt, the molded compact discs have a pressing arm come down on them that stamps the information into them.

CD Duplication and Promoting Music Band After recording the demo to CD for your music band, you would need a CD Duplication firm that duplicates music CDs. A CD duplication firm can offer you a minimum quantity of 200-300 pieces for a reasonable price. It is a great opportunity for small music bands and lower-budget music projects. In case you have a higher budget and a bigger project, you can go for a long-run CD replication job. For CD replication the minimum quantity would be more than 500-600 pieces and the CDs are pressed instead of burned.

CD/DVD Duplication for Corporate World There are different uses for CD duplication and DVD duplication in the corporate environment. It could be a presentation project that needs to be duplicated and distributed, or a report that needs to be distributed. For the smaller projects choosing the CD media would be useful as most compact discs can hold up to 80 minutes of audio or 700 MB of data. A DVD media can hold up to 4.5 GB of information where the new dual-layer DVD can hold up to 8.5 GB data. So choosing DVD for larger or multiple file duplication project will be more suitable.
